Advance Keyhole Surgery

Ever since the widespread adoption of keyhole surgery in the field of gynaecology in Singapore in the start of the 2000s, most gynaecological surgeries can and should be performed via the keyhole route. Initially, keyhole surgery was to deliver minimally-invasive surgery (MIS) as a treatment route for common conditions such as ovarian cysts and small fibroids; as expertise levels rise, we now offer keyhole surgery at the advance level, expanding the spectrum of conditions treatable to include pelvic endometriosis resection, removal of large fibroids and even full surgery for certain female cancers.

The benefits of MIS include faster recovery from surgery, less pain, shorter hospital stays and cost savings in terms of hospitalisation downtime and reduced long term post-surgical complications such as scarring and chronic pain. It is now the mainstay of gynaecological surgeries in Singapore.
